Best Video Game turned movie so far. For those of us that have played the game since before it became the MMO we understand the story. This has beauty and thought put into every scene. The story plays out well and my hope is that they make more of this series. Starring: Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Robert Kazinsky, Paula Patton, Ben Foster and others.
First let me say that I stood in line for the very first episode of the saga. With that said, some of us are a little disappointed with this installment. I don’t hate but there again I don’t love it. Now I also have to say I haven’t been reading the books. For those of you that read the Percy Jackson series and hated the movies I total get why some people never want to read the books if they see the movies or vica versa. But like some people pointed out you may never get the whole story if you don’t. So I say to you guys which books do I read? But here again I want to know what other people thought. I get this movie is for a new generation and for them to have their own saga. Sounds like there should be a but after that and well yes, I’d like to hear from other people about what they thought. One thing that did bother me was the CGI at the end, sorry his head shouldn’t be that so big, body proportions people. That’s all I will say cause if you haven’t seen it maybe you should and make up your own mind.
Well some people seem a bit confused and I don’t blame them if you don’t have a physics background this could be a hard movie to get your head around. It was still worth watching but some explanation is required. It stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway, but we must mention Matt Damon is in it as well. (I’m kinda glad I saw The Martian before this.) Give it a view if you haven’t, but don’t get frustrated if there is something that’s a little over your head, plenty of sites explain it after you watch it.
So we wanted to see what you are looking forward to next Year.
Looking forward to the New Year of movies.
This movie is fun and inspiring for all age groups. It can get your creative juices motivating around making things with the brick. You find that more adults are into using these bricks for all kinds of things. Great movie to watch on an afternoon when your bored. You might find yourself getting out your old set or borrowing the kids set of brick and making something cool. Enjoy!
In some way this movie reminded me of “Castaway.” With humor and great amount suspense this movie was a blast. Matt Damon does a wonderful job of making us believe he is marooned on Mars. Even though some of us had enough information to know what things are not believable but it’s still a good movie. You should see it if you haven’t. Enjoy!
Noah with Russell Crowe, Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly. I’m not a huge fan of religious movies as a rule but I was impressed with the way in which this story was told. The watchers and their representation intrigued me. The landscape was very much a part of the story as well.
Misery Loves Comedy, directed by Kevin Pollack and with a number of comedians and actors. Noticeably missing is Robin Williams, and you find out why in the end. This piece discusses do you have to be miserable to be funny. It is very interesting to watch and lets you in on what makes some comedians tic.
Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)starring Michael Keaton and Emma Stone was not what I expected and the unusual twists will keep you guessing as to what is real. Something interesting is how this movie was shot. Watch closely, think about how it looks. Do you like this style? Did it help with the reality of the scenes?
Jurassic World starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. New genetic engineering is behind the creations at this park and they are still just as dangerous as before. I love this one more than the old ones. It was fascinating to see where they were taking the story. Worth seeing!
Now my take on remakes. With Vacation coming out soon, really Chevy’s not dead yet, come on. A wise man once said Don’t remake good movies, remake bad ones and make them better. I hold with that, but if Hollywood is running out of material I have a book you could do or remake some old black and white movies like: Roman Holiday with Josh Duhamel and Anne Hathaway. People like westerns and there are plenty of old black and white ones to remake.
Think about it and keep watching.
Fury, starring Brad Pitt and Logan Lerman. A war picture about a single tank. Showing those fleeting moments of companion during the horrors of war. The rookie grows up fast in this story. Worth the watch, even if it does have Shia LaBeouf in it.
Gone Girl starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike. Truly disappointed with Ben Affleck’s performance. Seemed like he was just going through the motions. As for Rosamund, I found her performance chilling. The person she plays is just calculating and truly horrible. Worth watching just for her performance.
Here is something funny just for a breather.
