I’m not a huge fan of rap I’ll admit but I found myself listening to this a number of times after watching the on stage production. I was amazed at the integration of history and modern company into this show.
Congratulations to the entire cast and the who made this what it has become and the awards it has presented those who participated in it.
If you haven’t seen it and like me were not sure of something you think has only rap as the music, give it a try anyway.

You never know with a sequel but I must say I enjoyed it alot. Nice to see real accapella groups as part of the show. The unanswered question from the last movie about Bumper and Amy will be revealed with musical style. If you liked the first one, go give it a shout.

Annette Funicello passed away this week. I remember her more for the beach party movies with Frankie Avalon.
She was in a number of Walt Disney TV Shows as well as other TV shows and movie. She was also a very popular singer.
Both these movies were released in 2012, and yes they are music driven movies. But both of these movies have something going for them.
Pitch Perfect, is the story of a college a capella singing group and the competition. Although I never want to give the whole plot away I would like to say that the start of this movie was what caught me. Know one expects someone to “blow chucks” as the phrase goes during a competition right onto the audience. From that moment on I figured this had to be a funny and surprising movie. Stars Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Anna Camp (from True Blood) and more talented actors.
Joyful Noise is the story of a church choirs competition. This shows that not all gospel music has to be old fashioned. The sub-story adds flavor to the mix and the music brings it all together. This movie stars Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, Keke Palmer, Jeremy Jordan as well as many others including a small part by Kris Kristofferson.
See which one appeal to you more and above all enjoy the music.
